Not surprisingly, I found this dictionary to have everything I needed--and more! The book is more significant than I expected, but then I should have known that "compact" means something different for Oxford than it does for other dictionary publishers (some of whom publish dictionaries with the type so little, I can hardly read them). Oxford uses a typeset with a lot of white space which, of course, makes it much easier to read. in addition to the words, the tutorial on "effectual Writing for college and Career" makes this dictionary one that professors can use to prepare scholars for the rigors of college and business writing.
